Renee,
I am trying to find out if there is a place where I can recycle old fluorescent light bulbs – not just
CFLs? Can I take these to Tox Drop locations? Thanks.
Ryan
Ryan,
Whether it’s a spiral or a tube, a U or a O, ToxDrop will take all shapes and sizes of fluorescent
lamps.
In case you’re wondering, an incandescent bulb – the ones that screw in and have a filament
wire inside the glass globe – is not recyclable. There are too many materials in the bulb
and no effective way to separate the materials, so you can simply put them in the trash
as you replace all the bulbs in your home with CFLs or LEDs.
Lights out,
Renee
NOTE: RecycleForce is in the process of moving to their new location at 1125 Brookside Ave, Suite D12, 46202. All electronics and other recyclables should be taken to the new facility.
