Renee,
I enjoy your emails and have picked up more than a few useful tips. However, something has been bothering me. You always sign off your messages with “Piece out,” meaning “to extend by adding pieces,” rather than the more commonly accepted slang “Peace out,” meaning “good-bye.” Is this intentional? It’s driving me crazy that I might be missing a hidden meaning or pun.
Just wondering,
Carole

Is there a place to look these things up, besides just asking you?
Don
Hi Carole and Don!
I’m so glad you asked. First things first…I’m not just a lousy speller (it drives me crazy when people don’t get there, their and they’re right!). Before Indiana Living Green rebranded the e-newsletter as Ask Renee, it was called Green Piece Indy. So, yep! It’s intentional. Signing off with “Piece out” is my little way paying homage to Green Piece Indy.
So, Don, feeling independent, eh? Some of you that save your old Ask Renee and GPI emails just in case you need them later. you should know that all of our past emails are archived on the ILG web site. You can always use the search bar to find info about all kinds of green haps in IN.
Believe it or not, I don’t always know the answer to everything (crazy, right?). Some of my fave resources include Consumer Reports Greener Choices, The Daily Green and Earth 911. Do you have a favorite web site for finding green info? Share it in the comments section of this post. .
Piece out! And peace out.
Renee
