Beth Hall

If you are interested in keeping Indianapolis beautiful, the organization or the act, mark your calendars! On Thursday, Sept. 6, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful will be hosting its 9th annual Dig Deep fundraising luncheon program. Profits from this event will aid in funding Keep Indianapolis Beautiful’s local greening undertakings. If interested, hurry to reserve a spot! The last date to do so is  Friday, August 31. The event will be held at the Marott at 2625 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for registration and to allow guests to mingle.

The luncheon will be followed up by a program featuring guest speaker Beth Hall, Director of Midwest Regional Climate Center. She will be speaking on the Reconnecting to our Waterways initiative, the severe drought experienced this summer, and what the consequences of this drought will be in our future. This hellaciously hot summer and drought have been on many Hoosiers’ minds lately, with brown grass and failing crops statewide, so the topic of this luncheon’s conversation seems all too appropriate.

Tickets are $50, well worth it to enjoy the company of fellow green minded Hoosiers and hear a respected speaker’s thoughts on a pressing issue in our state and environment.
