The Hoosier Chapter of the Sierra Club recently released a slate of both state and federal candidates that it will publicly endorse during their runs for US Congress and the Indiana Legislature.
“We are very pleased to announce today that the Sierra Club officially endorses the following candidates for state and federal office. The Hoosier Chapter will work to elect these candidates who have shown through their words and actions that they are committed to improving Indiana’s environment”, said David Maidenberg, State Chapter Director.
The Indiana (or Hoosier) Chapter intends to strengthen the campaigns of environmentally-minded candidates by encouraging its membership to donate, volunteer, and vote for them.
“With these endorsements, the Sierra Club honors the work these candidates have done in conserving our treasured natural resources, protecting Indiana’s environment and creating the clean energy jobs for Indiana that will protect the health of Indiana citizens”, added Steve Francis, Chairperson, Hoosier Chapter.
