Hi, Renee!
I have a broken compact purse sized umbrella. Any chance there is a way to recycle this? Part nylon cloth and part metal.
Kathleen
Hi Kathleen,
You said the magic words: part metal. When I asked my pals at RecycleForce if they’ll accept an old umbrella, their answer was: Sure, if it’s made of metal!
If that’s not full-service recycling, I don’t know what is.
Other random items you’ve asked about lately that RecycleForce will accept:
- TV remote controls
- Satellite dishes
- Large cardboard boxes
- Altoid tins
- Fence posts
RecycleForce will be at the Indiana State Museum Going Green Festival on March 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go to recycle your umbrella, stay to hear Indiana Living Green Editor, Jim Poyser, present the Climate Reality Project.
Piece out,
Renee
