Hey, not that you should combine them in excess or anything, but the prodigious overlap of the bicycling and locally brewed beer communities is one of the great treats of living in Indianapolis.
Two of my favorite local entities, Sun King Brewery and INDYCOG, have united to create drink coasters that educate drivers about bicycles, and bicyclers about cars.
The goal of the education? Keep the two from running into each other!
According to Kevin Whited, executive director of INDYCOG, the project will result in six total coasters. Thus far, two have been completed, both featuring cute rhyming phrases: “When you’re near, steer 3 feet clear!” and “Ride at night, use a light!”
Keep an eye out for these coasters, share them with your friends, be they bicyclers or drivers (or both!).
